Research

Sylfaen offers to work alongside community groups to undertake research on issues that are important to them.

One example is the work with Dyffryn Nantlle 20:20 regarding the consultation on the development of Siop Griffiths, and the related study on how the Welsh language can support economic development in the valley.

Evaluation

Sylfaen can offer qualitative evaluation through seeking out the views of the participants, their families, and the agencies and/or partners in a project, as it did for GISDA's Mentro 'Mlaen evaluation in the Summer of 2017.

Internally, Sylfaen uses the Social Value method of evaluation. As well as seeking the views of those involved in a project, we also attempt to estimate the fiscal, economic and social value. We will be offering this methodology externally in the near future.
